Post #6: Pulling it together

Your ideas are flowing, the town is abuzz, but it's time to hunker down and translate all the wonderful conversations in your town into a compelling Expression of Interest. Feeling in need of inspiration? We've got some words of reassurance and clarity from Regional Arts Victoria Director Esther Anatolitis to guide your thinking as we enter the final weeks.

We've recorded a short video with Esther addressing some of the common questions we're hearing across the state including how to find and include "artistic excellence" in your transformation, and connecting your town's need with its vision and outcome.

What might excellence look like in your town? Ask your artists about the work they admire. Ask your art lovers about the work they find inspiring. The projects you can identify across the state, country and world will become your model for excellence in the work that will comprise or be created by your Small Town Transformation.


Completing your submission

We'd like to remind applicant towns that all Expressions of Interest must be completed and submitted electronically. This means you'll need to type your answers into the interactive PDF form, save it and email it as an attachment to smalltowns@rav.net.au by Noon on Monday February 29th.

There are guidelines at the very end of the Expression of Interest form that will help you submit your application - please ensure you have read these carefully and get in touch if you have any queries.

Make sure you have a go at filling in some information on the form ahead of time. If you have any issues, try first updating your Adobe Reader. You can ensure you have the latest version by visiting this website: https://get.adobe.com/reader/

If you have any trouble with this please make sure you get in contact with us sooner rather than later, and make sure you keep a back-up of your Expression of Interest in another format (eg. a Word document) just in case.

It’s an opportunity to ask the team any questions live online and receive an immediate answer; if you have a question, it’s sure to be a question that others have too.
